Superintendent Nominations

Nicole Heidt
Nicole Heidt has been ministering in the Wyoming Ministry Network for nearly three decades. She and her late husband, Troy, met while she was studying Elementary Education at Trinity Bible College in Ellendale, North Dakota. Quickly married, they headed off into ministry.
Nicole has loved serving the Wyoming Ministry Network in many capacities over the years. She enjoyed serving on the network’s Women’s Ministry team for nearly ten years and eventually as the WM Director. She treasured serving alongside Troy as the Wyoming District Youth Directors from 2000 to 2006. Still, to this day, she loves attending camps!
Troy and Nicole served thirteen years as the pastors of Lighthouse Assembly in Upton. In 2012, they moved to the other side of the state when they became the pastors of First Assembly in Rock Springs.
Upon Troy’s passing in 2016, Nicole was elected the lead pastor at First Assembly, where she still serves. In 2020 Nicole became the Wyoming Ministry Network’s current Secretary- Treasurer. Her late nights have recently been dedicated to hitting the books again as she seeks her graduate degree in Missional Leadership at Trinity.
Troy and Nicole also served as pastors in Underwood, North Dakota, and Kake, Alaska.

Shawn Johnston
Spouse’s Name: Sarah Johnston
How long have you been in the Wyoming Ministry Network?
December 2021 to present as Lead Pastor at Green River 1974 – 1994 raised in Gillette where I was called to ministry
Educational Background
- 1990 – Campbell County High School, Gillette,
- 1991 – 1992 General Studies at Sheridan College (pursued a trade [construction and appliance service]
in lieu of a degree) - 1996 – 1999 Biblical Studies from Berean School of the Bible – Certified Ministers Credential
- 2003 – 2006 Global University – Licensed Ministers Credential
- 2009 – 2012 Global University – Ordained Ministers Credential
All of my ministerial studies were completed via distance learning in the era when distance learning was still in its infancy. I chose this path for various reasons and it has made me rather “blue collar” in my overall approach. I received no college credit or degree, but satisfied the Assemblies of God General Council and Network Council requirements for each of the three levels of credential, while maintaining good standing with both General and Network Councils for the entirety of the 25 years I’ve held credentials. For more than 30 years of pastoral leadership (5 years of internship under the care of two pastors in particular) I’ve submitted myself to the mentorship of some wonderful people of God who have helped shape what the Lord had already called in me. I maintain contact with many of these people and continue to “study to show myself approved”.

Craig Mellendorf
How long have you been in the Wyoming Ministry Network?
Craig and Rebecca came to Wyoming in July 2009 to pastor Radius Church in Casper. They have been at Radius almost sixteen years.
Educational Background
Out of high school, Craig attended Trinity Bible College in Ellendale, North Dakota from 1986-1990. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in biblical and ministerial studies and a minor in youth ministry. It was at Trinity where Craig met Rebecca, and they were married a week after graduation.
Ministry Experience
Right out of college, the Mellendorf’s moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where they served as associate pastors and youth ministers at the Mountain Church in Sandy (formerly Mountain View Christian Assembly). After four plus years in youth ministry, Craig began sensing God leading him to become a senior pastor.
In 1995, Craig took the pastorate of Crosspointe Church (formerly Central AG) in Sioux City, Iowa. During that time, Craig also served as a sectional men’s ministry representative (1997-1999), vice president of the Siouxland Ministerial Association (2001-2002), president of the Siouxland Ministerial Association (2003), and sectional presbyter for the Iowa Ministry Network (2005-2009). After fourteen years as senior pastor of Crosspointe, Craig and Rebecca moved to Wyoming.
Besides pastoring Radius, Craig has enjoyed being an instructor for several WYSOM courses (2013-2021) as it has given him the opportunity to get to know and pour into the lives of our new ministers. In 2014, Craig was elected as Assistant Superintendent for the Network where he continues to serve in that capacity.
Craig has been credentialed with the Assemblies of God for 35 years, 28 years as an ordained minister. He is beginning his pursuit of a Master of Organizational Leadership from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri.
